Care recruitment, with care.

Why we exist

Care recruitment rewards the consultant who has spent time alongside the rota. Resident continuity matters. Compliance matters. Cultural fit decides whether a senior carer is still leading shifts at six months.

Aroha Staffing was set up to fix that. The word "aroha" means love or care, and the desk is built around that same principle: a placement only works if both sides feel cared for. The home gets a brief listened to. The carer gets the truth about the role, the team and the residents.

What we do, plainly

Permanent placements into UK residential, nursing, domiciliary, mental health, learning disability and dementia services. Ten care services, one consultant per provider, end to end.

Who we work for

Care home groups, single-site residential and nursing homes, domiciliary providers, supported living operators, mental health services and LD providers. Mostly small to mid-size, with leadership teams who want a recruiter who understands CQC frameworks.

How we vet

  • Enhanced DBS check (or DBS update service confirmation)
  • Right-to-work and identity verification
  • Care Certificate confirmed; NVQ / QCF qualifications verified
  • NMC PIN verified for nursing roles where relevant
  • References from current and previous care employers
  • Structured competency conversation, scenario-tested for safeguarding

How we think about a placement

A successful placement is the moment six months later when the carer is still in seat, still trusted by residents and still happy.
